News Corp chairman Rupert Murdoch: Who needs Google?
"There are no news websites or blog websites anywhere in the world making any serious money, some may be breaking even or making a couple of million."
News Corp chairman Rupert Murdoch has suggested the company's online newspaper pages will be invisible to Google users when it launches its new paid content strategy.
He said: "There's not enough advertising in the world to make all the websites profitable. We'd rather have fewer people coming to our websites but paying.
Internet Running out of Addresses
"In the last 10 years, the internet has become hugely important worldwide from a socio-economic perspective," said Detlef Eckert, a director in the Commission's information society and media directorate-general. "Only by ensuring that all devices connected to the internet are compatible with IPv6 can we stay connected and safeguard sustainable growth of the internet and the global digital economy, now and in the years to come."

New Era: Jurors using Twitter Jeopardize Trials
During the trial of an Arkansas lumber supplier In February, one of the jurors tweeted his buddies that they should stay away from that product: "It's bad mojo," he thumbed, "and they'll probably cease to exist, now that their wallet is 12m lighter."
During a four-month-long political corruption trial in Philadelphia earlier this year, one juror was found to have been updating his Twitter account almost daily, at one point posting: "Stay in touch for a big announcement on Monday everyone."
reboot: Four Fans in Line for Brand New Microsoft Store
In addition to the availability of Windows 7, I’m happy ecstatic to announce the launch of the brand new Microsoft Store, which coincides with the opening of new Microsoft retail stores. Our first retail location opens tomorrow at 10am in Scottsdale followed by our second store in Mission Viejo on October 29th. In fact, we already had 4 fans standing in line at 4pm earlier this afternoon in anticipation of the opening!
PARTY! Windows 7 Vodka and the Microsoft Hangover
Microsoft can't change perceptions if it doesn't get its marketing and PR acts together.
Having followed Microsoft's exploits since its inception, I can safely say the best anyone can hope for with Windows 7 is moderate success. For all of the fanfare surrounding the new OS, Win 7 is really just a Vista martini. The operating system may have two olives instead of one this time out, but it's still made with the same cheap Microsoft vodka.
Verizon + iPhone + 4G LTE network
What do iPhone sales have to do with Verizon you ask? Well apparently, Mr. Lowell McAdam wasn’t just visiting Google on those trips to Mountain View, California. Apple headquarters is only 8.5 miles away from Google’s HQ.
We all know that Verizon started testing their 4G network earlier this year and that Verizon plans to roll out their LTE network on the 700 MHz spectrum sometime next year.

More Layoffs: Current TV Hit by Current Times
San Francisco-based Current Media, cofounded by former Vice President Al Gore, is looking to lay off more local employees, according to a source familiar with its plans.
The company laid off 60 employees last year, or about 15 percent of its staff, though promised to rehire some in new positions.
Part of the losses will stem from moving all video production to Los Angeles, or even outsourcing it entirely.
